What am I solving?
Design a digital platform that centralizes employment and training opportunities within Cádiz’s naval industry, modernizes the sector’s traditional image, and ensures easy access for users of all ages and levels of technological familiarity.
Process
Applying the Double Diamond Framework:
1. Discover:
Researched the naval industry in Cádiz, analyzing its socioeconomic context, employment opportunities, and public perception of the sector.
Studied the local job market to understand both candidate needs and employer requirements.
Conducted a benchmark analysis of relevant job portals to identify best practices and applicable trends.
Researched key user profiles (companies, training centers, and candidates).
2. Define:
Defined the portal’s functional objectives: user registration, profile creation, job postings, and training program listings.
Documented technical and usability requirements in collaboration with the development team.
3. Ideate:
Created low-fidelity wireframes to structure navigation and content hierarchy clearly and effectively.
Built a Design System Foundation (typography, color palette, spacing) to ensure visual consistency and scalability.
Developed reusable components to optimize the workflow and enhance overall product coherence.
4. Deliver:
Designed the user interface in Figma, prioritizing the desktop version before adapting the design for tablets and mobile devices.
Validated the navigation flow through interactive prototypes to guarantee an accessible and seamless user experience.
