What am I solving?
In today’s hyperconnected world, where constant screen time and mobile device usage dominate, maintaining a consistent reading habit is increasingly challenging. Although many people express a strong desire to read more, common obstacles—such as limited time and smartphone overuse—often get in the way. This project aims to design an application that goes beyond simply providing access to literary content. It adapts to mainstream digital behaviors and promotes reading as a rewarding and sustainable activity.
Process
I approached this project using the Design Thinking methodology. I began with a research phase focused on understanding reading habits in Spain. I analyzed reports, conducted surveys, and interviewed users to identify key barriers—mainly time management and the heavy use of smartphones. These insights were synthesized into detailed User Personas, each representing different user profiles and motivations. Based on these findings, I moved into the ideation and design phase, where I defined core features and developed sketches and prototypes to shape the experience.

Reflections
This project emerged from direct observation of my environment and my own experience as a reader. I identified a gap in the market: an app that combined beautiful design, progress tracking, and ongoing motivation—without overwhelming the user. The app I designed seeks to address that need through a thoughtful product experience aligned with today’s digital habits. It allowed me to apply the full user-centered design process, from research to prototyping, and reinforced the importance of delivering clear, functional, and relevant value to people through design.
This is a brief summary of the project. You can view the full case study on my Behance profile.
